Fringe at Locale

The first of two Fringe Festivals visited Locale on Friday.

Brazilian Drumming and Dance took place on Friday, January 20.

Even when the sun started to get hotter, many individuals and families still came to Locale to dance and drum to the Bassendean Bassonovas' beats.

Chris Owens, the author of Pandamonium, did a story time and delivered a weather report he had created especially for the occasion.

Many people participated in and tried out the drumming workshop (including Councillor Bowman and his children). A sizable after-dinner crowd was attracted to the final performance when many kids stood up to dance with the Samba dancer.

Coming up on the 10th of February is the next Fringe event coming to Locale which is Under The Sea.

There will be a solo set from Faraway Land of Disney covers and we will have Ariel the Mermaid doing a Special Storytime. City of Swan Libraries will be running a treasure/scavenger hunt. Midland Junction Arts Centre will also be running an activity.
